A.E.R. stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once each year. Lower rate tax is deducted where applicable. Interest accrues daily. Interest paid on Easy Access and 14 Day Notice Accounts on 1 January and 1 July. Interest on all other notice accounts paid annually on 1 July.
